Mr. Heffley began his martial arts training in 1983 at the age of 14. He received his first black belt after a 5-year layoff from his training because of college in 1993. He began teaching as a PKC instructor in 1995 at Westover Hills in Austin. Mr. Heffley began teaching in Buda in October of 1997 at the primary school where he was teaching the Mayor of Buda's family.

PKC has done wonderful things for many in the community. I have seen children come into our classes with no discipline and poor grades at school. After training with PKC, their grades begin improving and they become more disciplined, focused, and respectful."
